The shooting happened on Wednesday, March 8, between 8:10 and 8:20 p.m. in the westbound lanes near Exit 16 for Route 146, police said. The Blue Toyota Rav4 had multiple bullet holes in it.

Luckily, the 20-year-old female driver and her two 18-year-old passengers were not injured in the shooting, police said. They escaped the highway at exit 13, where they met police moments later.

Troopers believe the bullets came from a black Cadillac sedan. Investigators ask anyone who may know anything about this shooting or who may have seen that car in that area to contact Trooper Scott Lucas at 508-829-8410.
